To start the festivities, the city center fountain is turned to “wine” (a red color tint). The streets were lined with people watching and kids dancing to traditional music.
The next day was the chupinazo in front of the town hall. At this event, the mayor spoke from the windows and everyone wore their panuelos and drank wine while throwing it at other people.
The rest of the week, there was a fair and a parade with different bodegas and dancing groups through the city. Most of the city was alive and partying throughout the week!
