Enciso & Arnedillo, Spain
Written By Divya Gupta
Ruta de los Dinosaurios and Arnedillo roadtrip with the girls
The start of the Dinosaur hiking trail with fake dinos and real footprints
I was shocked to find out that these fossilized footprints are real. These ones were fence protected but there were a few scattered on the hike on the ground
The route had a couple different dinosaurs hanging out
The mountains looked like big rolling hills. The vegetation of Spain is unique to me in its deep green and orange tones in the fall. There were also plenty of spiked plants
We felt as if we were walking the trail after thousands of horses due to the amount of their leftovers on the ground!
At the summit, there were slides...
...and even a zipline!
We packed a lunch of fruit, cheese, and PB&Js for our hike which was the perfect snack in-between different playground sets
We ran into a group of cows protecting their farm, (and I may have accidentally stepped in some of their poop)
They were so precious I wanted to take one home. But I don't know if Kansas cows and Spanish cows would be able to communicate well...
Honestly, this was the best trip in Spain I've done so far because of the hike and the freedom of having a car and not relying on public transportation
In Arnedillo, a town 10 minutes from the hike
It had beautiful landscapes and a fresh river running beneath the church
Since it was November, the colors were perfect for fall photos
We laid out overlooking Arnedillo for about an hour. There wasn't much to do in town on a Sunday so we had the luxury of just taking it all in on the most perfect weathered day
Arnedillo from the end of a hike behind the church
Of course, we ran into more Spanish kitties!
