Third Stop… Christmas Eve and Christmas in Killarney!

First things first, breakfast! We stopped at a cute cafe while waiting for our Airbnb time. I got a perfectly spiced Shakshuka. I also leaned into my new obsession with Irish butter and stole a couple servings of it in my coat pocket.

Christmas eve we went to the local St Mary’s Cathedral for midnight mass.

I think this is my favorite cathedral in the world so far. It seems like something out of Game of Thrones with the stone structure and arches.

On Christmas Day, we got to explore the Killarney National Park.

I saw so many different animals, including deer and many types of birds.

Coming over the hill to this view of a castle is unforgettable.

The castle was basically in ruins but it made for the perfect sunset location and….

…the perfect home to a family of swans and ducks (not pictured).
